It is once again that time of year to begin thinking about filing your tax returns.

Many people can file simple returns using free or low cost computer software or government sponsored websites and receive their tax refunds almost as fast as using a professional tax services' "Rapid Refund" and not lose a big portion of their money for the services.

There are several big-name Tax Preparation Software providers offering On-Line Free versions of their products.  Several of these providers have made their on-line version for "BASIC" totally free to use for Federal Tax Returns, including the e-File fees (if your income amount qualifies). Do an internet search for Software providers, use the search term "tax returns filing" or something similar to locate the links for the vendors providing Free services.  Some of the top names are TurboTax and H&R Block just to name a few.

The Federal Government (IRS) also has a webpage that will assist you in locating FREE FEDERAL TAX FILING companies.

It is recommended that you have all your information ready prior to completing the forms, it will save time for you in the long run.  And please remember to consult the Tax Professional of your choice if you are unsure of anything, this is not something that you want to make an error on.
